Jeff discovered his love for adventure early on… escaping suburban New Jersey home to explore the concrete canyons of Manhattan Island and to bivouac in the hidden corners of Central Park. At age thirteen, he discovered backpacking and rock-climbing in the Tetons of Wyoming and began his studies of ancient lore with the Hopi Indians of Arizona.
By seventeen, he was solo traveling around the globe – ice climbing in New Zealand and living on vampire bats in the jungles of New Caledonia. Since that time, Jeff has never stopped exploring – leading over a hundred expeditions from the Southern Patagonian Ice Cap to the Himalayas of Tibet to the remote Tien Shan Mountains of Western China. His investigative anthropological documentaries have appeared on the Travel Channel, the Discovery network and, most recently the History Channel.
His lifetime of unique experience has brought him title ‘leadership guru’ to C-suite executives at forward-thinking organizations like Microsoft, Google, eBay, Motorola and the Walt Disney Company. His book The Way of Adventure, Transforming Your Life and Work with Spirit and Vision is considered the ‘definitive word on adventure’.
