    About Dan Clark

On July 11, 2005, Dan was one of five elected inductees into the National Speakers Association Speakers Hall of Fame. Since its inception in 1977, only 195 professional or celebrity speakers have become Hall of Fame members including Ronald Reagan, Colin Powell, Zig Ziglar, Earl Nightingale, Art Linkletter, Norman Vincent Peale, Art Berg, and Keith Harrell. Hall of Fame inductees are selected for their mastery in seven areas for speaking excellence: Originality of Material; Uniqueness of Style; Experience; Delivery Technique; Client and Peer Image; Reputation and Professional Integrity; and Ability to Relate to their Audiences.

In 1987, prior to his induction into the Speakers Hall of Fame, Dan was the youngest ever to earn The Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, conferred by the National Speakers Association and the International Federation for Professional Speakers, onto candidates who go through a five-year process where they must receive excellent ratings from past clients on performance evaluations; document that they have served a wide variety of at least 100 clients; take part in ongoing education; submit testimonial letters from their clients; and provide samples of their promotional materials.

Dan is President/CEO of the international communications and high performance consulting firm, Clark Success Systems, a New York Times Best Selling Author, Award Winning Athlete, University Professor, Adventurer, Journalist, Gold Record Songwriter/Recording Artist, Philanthropist, and one of the most sought after speakers on the platform today!

Over a twenty-five year period, wherein they hired 250 of the most popular speakers/celebrities/authors on the planet, through a compilation of audience evaluations and a strict set of performance criterion which included requests for multiple return engagements, Achievers North America and Achievers Europe unanimously named Dan one of the Top Ten Speakers In The World!

Described as “a master motivator with an extraordinary intellect,” Dan Clark is leading an international movement to teach leaders and organizations how to transform them selves from successful to significance. While others preach, “think outside the box,” Dan asks, “what if the answers are still in the box?” While successful individuals seek change from the outside in, have an obsession with what’s impressive, focus on fame and fortune, and get what they want, Dan teaches that individuals and organizations who achieve significance seek to become more of who they already are, have an obsession with what’s important, focus on purposes instead of just setting goals, and want what they get.

Having fought his way back from a paralyzing injury that cut short his American football career, Dan’s unique and comprehensive understanding of how to get from where we are to where we want to be, ignited a desire in him to share his revolutionary insights with the world.

Consequently, in 1982, Dan was sponsored into the National Speakers Association by world renowned motivational teacher Zig Ziglar, and has since spoken to over 4,500 audiences, to millions of people in all 50 states, in 50 countries, having been invited to share his innovative and counter-intuitive views on Significance, leadership, resiliency, increasing productivity, building team unity, and exceeding internal and external customer expectations with many of the world’s most significant organizations including Apple, NASA, Super Bowl Champions, Million Dollar Round Table, Honeywell, Marriott Hotels, Delta Airlines, Troon Golf, and the staff at Mayo Clinic.

Dan has also had the honor of presenting his ideas at the Festival of Thinkers in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to the general assembly of the United Nations World Congress, to the senior leadership of the United States military, and to U.S./Coalition combat troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa.

As a prolific writer, Dan is a New York Times Best Selling Author of 20 books, and a primary contributing author to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, where he has been published in more than 40 million books in 40 languages worldwide. Dan’s story “Puppies for Sale” was made into an award winning film at Paramount Studios starring Jack Lemmon. Dan is also a Gold Record winning songwriter and a journalist who has interviewed many of the most famous movie, sports and music celebrities on the planet.

As an adventurer, Dan has soared to the edge of space in a U2 Spy Plane, flown fighter jets with the Air Force Thunderbirds, flown over Baghdad at 100 feet, and 100 mph in a Black Hawk helicopter, raced automobiles at Nurburgring, raced dog sleds in the arctic (spending the night in an igloo at 60 degrees below zero), won an “America’s Cup Class” sailboat race in the Pacific, and carried the Olympic Torch in the 2002 Winter Games.

As a philanthropic patriot, Dan serves on the International Board of Governors of Operation Smile, and with the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force on his National Civic Leaders Board.

    Pure Motivation

If you can laugh, think, and feel everyday, that’s a great day. That also makes for a great speech! Consequently, Dan will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride to a place you’ve never been before, based on the realization that everything required to take yourself and your organization to the next level is already inside of you and your people.

What’s been holding you back is the belief that you must think outside the lines, and think outside the box. But what if the answers are still in the box? Change from the outside in is reactive and creates pressure with a victim mentality. However, change from the inside out is proactive and creates power through an understanding that no matter what our past has been we have a spotless future. Most hate their jobs, and only look forward to Friday instead of Monday. They think they are paid by the hour, when in reality we are paid for the value we bring to that hour. They think success and happiness are found in programs and processes outside themselves and their organizations, instead of within. They forget that pressure is not something that is naturally there. It’s created when you question your own ability. When you know what you can do there is never any question.

In this mindset, and as a quantifying template for his remarks, Dan builds a four-cornerstone box as a metaphorical reminder that when we answer who we are and why we should, it allows us to become our own motivational speaker and build our lives and our world on the solid foundation of:

    – Prespective
    – Authenticity
    – Service Before Self
    – Commitment to Excellence In All We Do

Building A Winning Team, Dominating The Competition

Dan will remind your people that we don’t win on game day – we win during our week of perfectly practiced behavior. “If we sweat more in peace we will bleed less in war.” Flawless execution is achieved only through a relentless work ethic, and an unwavering sense of unity based on mutual trust generated by a genuine family feeling that each person in the organization is talented, wanted, respected and needed to win.

Your people will leave Dan’s session with an understanding of the four critical elements to building a winning team:

    – Attitude
    – Trust
    – Feedback

Covenant to Live By the Ten Commitments:

The first “i” in winning represents a commitment to the first seven C’s:

    1. Clarity (who are you, the law of attraction)
    2. Character (what you do when no one is watching)
    3. Confidence (preparation)
    4. Consistency (perfect practice)
    5. Competitiveness (being better today than you were yesterday)
    6. Cause (answering why so you can determine the how)
    7. Chemistry (it’s not what you do but with whom you do it) The second “i” in winning represents a commitment to the last three C’s:

The second “i” in winning represents a commitment to the last three C’s:
    8. Contribution (giving it everything you’ve got when less is sufficient)
    9. Cohesion (making everybody around you better)
    10. Conclusion (focusing on and finishing one play/one sale at a time)

    Closing Sales/Creating Customer Delight:

    Perfecting the Law of Attraction

Have you ever bought candy from a child you don’t know, or purchased something from late night television that you didn’t need, or subscribed to a magazine you will never read, or gone out of your way to fit something into your already crammed schedule? Specific techniques were used to get us to say yes! Becoming familiar with the how, why, when, and where these principles and methods can be most effectively used, will not only make you a master sales champion, but you will become a master motivator, master communicator, and major influencer in your world.

Your people will leave Dan’s session with an inspiring understanding that Sales and Customer Service are everybody’s business. From the point of view of an overall sales process engineering effort, customer service plays an equal role in an organization’s ability to generate income and revenue, and the most important role in generating loyalty, referrals and repeat business.

Therefore, Creating Customer Service Delight is a series of activities shared by everyone in the organization designed to enhance the level of customer satisfaction before, during and after a purchase, by creating the feeling that a product or service has exceeded the customer expectation.

    Life Changing Leadership:

    Transforming From Successful to Significant

Successful people get what they want. However, individuals who live lives of Significance want what they get. Successful people identify themselves in terms of what they do and seek what’s impressive. Significant individuals identify themselves in terms of who they are and seek what’s important. In this powerful keynote or expanded seminar, Dan makes sure your purpose is what you say it is, and that your influence is what you need it to be, so instead of merely continuing to follow the highly acclaimed business, leadership, management gurus you have been quoting for years, you become one of them!

Your people will leave Dan’s session with an inspiring understanding that some things are true whether we believe them or not; everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but nobody is entitled to the wrong facts; and that we shouldn’t believe everything that we think. They will be reminded that successful managers are efficient in ‘doing things right,” and successful leaders are effective in ‘doing the right things,’ but significant leaders relentlessly pursue a daily path of personal refinement and peak performance that creates and perpetuates both efficiency and effectiveness through obedience to:

The Twelve Highest Universal Laws of Significance:

    1. Practice Obedience Instead of Free Agency
    2. Exercise Perseverance Instead of Patience
    3. Proactively Stretch Instead of Change
    4. Trust Predictability Instead of Hope
    5. Know The Whole Truth Instead of Believing What You Think
    6. Focus On Winning Instead of Team
    7. Do The Right Thing Instead of Seeking To Be Best
    8. Strive For Harmony Instead of Balance
    9. Accept Through Mercy Instead of Justice
    10. Cultivate True Love and Need Instead of Romance and Desire
    11. Establish Covenants Instead of Making Commitments
    12. Forgive Instead of Seeking Forgiveness
