Andrew Busch electrifies audiences globally, speaking on the core of economics, politics, culture and the media.  His upbeat and humorous style has been crafted over five years of weekly appearances talking politics with Maria Bartiromo on CNBC and two years as an analyst on CNBC’s Money in Motion.  Andy breaks down complex economic issues and makes them relevant to people’s lives, families, and careers.

While appearing on CNBC, Andy held the role of Global Currency and Public Policy Strategist for Bank of Montreal, one of Canada’s leading investment banks.  His radio show, “Engage with Andy Busch” brings top minds together for lively discussions on economics, politics and culture including Congressman Peter Roskam, CFTC Commissioner Christopher Giancarlo, and JPM’s chief economist Jim Glassman.

He is an author (World Event Trading), financial journalist (Stocks, Futures, and Options Magazine) and newspaper market analyst (Globe and Mail).  Before going into analysis, he was the top currency trader for Northern Trust and Harris Bank in Chicago.  As a financial expert, he testified on Capitol Hill on the effectiveness of the 2009 Obama Administration fiscal stimulus plan.

Andy earned an MBA in international finance from the University of Chicago and was Phi Beta Kappa at Ohio Wesleyan University.  He brings a world of experience, from Main Street to Wall Street, when discussing the US and global economy, world events, and politics.  His innovative, thought-provoking commentary will resonate with your audience and help them understand the forces impacting their world.

Trump wins, now what?

By now, you all know who won the 2016 election.

What your clients are wondering is what it’ll mean for them!

Financial services, energy, agriculture and health care will all be impacted.

As a researcher, a journalist and an author, I objectively look at what Trump’s plans are and how a Republican Congress will attempt to implement them.

As a realistic optimist, I believe in the wisdom of the American voter and the leaders they elect to recognize the problems and provide the solutions.

This is a great time to get in front of your clients to help clients understand the 2017 challenges and opportunities from the change!

Good news: hope for 2017!

Could there have an uglier election or more difficult outcome?  As a realistic optimist, Andy sees potential good economic solutions coming out of bad political problems.   By using a combination of humor, anecdotes and stories, he helps audiences understand the political economy and what changes will mean for businesses, jobs and lifestyles.  As a journalist, an author and researcher, Andy does a deep dive on research to bring you an objective view into this world.

Along the way, he’ll discuss where future growth will come from and how can your business take advantage of it.  And what a new President and Congress will do to help or hurt the economy.  He’ll crash a Fed policy meeting, crank it up about BREXIT and hit tech trends impacting your industry.  He’s passionate about the positive and think good will come from change.

In a vote that shocked the world, the UK voted to exit the European Union and disrupted the trend towards global integration.  Quickly, dominoes fell:  UK PM David Cameron resigned, global stock markets swooned, and UK real estate prices fell the most in 7 years.

“The group you spoke to were some of our top clients, thus impressing them with a thought provoking and interesting speaker was key to the success of the event. Needless to say, you completely blew them away with your knowledge of world events and most importantly, your ability to bring it down to their level.”

“In my 23 years with Silverman Consulting, I’ve met few speakers who are as energetic, passionate and captivating as Andy Busch. He takes complex concepts, simplifies them and shows how they impact our clients businesses. We were able to fill a room of top financial professionals in Chicago and Andy stuck around to talk with clients a long time after the speech was over. The feedback I have heard has been overwhelmingly positive and we have engaged him for a return speaking engagement in November.”
– J.E.S., Partner, Silverman Consulting.

“His commentary is invaluable because it makes all of us smarter…”
– Greg Valliere, Chief Political Strategist, Stanford Washington Research Group

“Thank you for moderating a panel session at the 46th ACI World Congress. The questions you asked the panelists on the Future of FX: Past, Present and Beyond were able to draw out insightful comments and contributed to a full debate on where the industry is headed. The audience really seemed to enjoy your style of joining them versus staying at the podium to question. It was particularly on point to ask the panelists about their predictions of the next market crisis. The discussion on the under-pricing of risk, and in particular credit risk, rings true today. I look forward to working with you again at future FX market events.”
– Sharon Grewal, Chair, 46th ACI World Congress
